Last Coat
Today’s puzzle
How to play
Match the target by painting whole rows and columns in the right order. There is no timer or stroke limit.
Tap a roller to paint its whole line
R rollers paint rows, numbered from top to bottom. C rollers paint columns, numbered from left to right. A stroke fills the whole line; you cannot paint just one square.
Let the last coat cover the crossing
Later paint covers earlier paint. The labels in the target tell you which roller must be visible in each square.
R1 → C2
C2 → R1
The same two strokes, reversed: the top-middle square keeps whichever coat came last. Colours here are fictional; follow today’s labels. Match every square
A · in the target means unpainted. Leave that square untouched by every stroke. When every square matches, the puzzle completes automatically.
A little more
You may repeat rollers and add extra coats; you do not need the shortest solution. There is no eraser roller. Undo removes the last stroke; Restart returns to a blank canvas.
To drag, carry a roller to the far edge until “Release to paint” appears. You can release beyond that edge while staying in line. A short drag, a sideways release, Escape or interrupted contact returns it without painting. With a keyboard, Tab to a roller and press Enter or Space for a full stroke.
A new target arrives at midnight UTC. Your unfinished puzzle stays on this device. Your share counts strokes, including strokes you later undo or restart.
