What is happening?

Every bell has a fixed, visible swing. The gold thread is the only scoring surface. A strike samples their positions: two bells on the thread gives one resonance; three, four, and five bells give 3, 6, and 10. A miss scatters the weather briefly. There is no hidden randomness after a restart.
