Place glass and mirrors, drag their gold handles, and move the receiving screen through the result. Real ray bundles do not agree on one perfect focus: marginal rays arrive early, colours separate, and internal reflections fold the field.

Reshape selected object

Every object can be selected from ordinary buttons. Arrow keys move it; Shift moves farther; Q/E rotate prisms, mirrors, the source, or screen. Contract/expand reshapes the selected aperture, polygon, segment, or source. Lens curvature has its own buttons and direct gold handle.

Keep or reload this bench

JSON preserves source, screen, geometry, refractive index, dispersion, and ray count. The SVG preserves the solved ray field and screen burn. Neither contains network or personal data.

Ideal two-dimensional geometric optics in air. Interfaces are perfectly smooth; rays do not diffract, interfere, scatter, absorb, polarize, or carry calibrated power. The screen glow is deterministic ray density, not thermal prediction or laser-safety guidance.
